Ah, sorry for the long abscence of a oneshot, but I was thinking of one. Anyway, I got this idea. I really hope you like it. Besides, there's more than one part :) But, in exchange for that, 6+ comments for the next one? Demi had actually come to this party alone. For the first time in months, there was no one holding her hand as the walked in the door to Selena's house. She would've been here with someone; her immature boyfriend named Sterling. Unfortunately, they called it quits three weeks ago. But considering on how Sterling was a common jackass, he shrugged it off very quickly. Demi on the other hand, didn't. Although she didn't show it much, she was hurting. Right now, she would've not even shown her face in her friend's incredibly large basement; instead she would've been at home, watching any horror movie that involved the main character's boyfriend being brutally murdered by the killer. Demi stood on the tips of her toes looking for Selena to wish her a happy birthday; and then leave right after that. She sighed, and began to cut through the large crowd, covering her ears fron the music that was turned up too loud. She saw the back of Selena's head, and rushed over to her, poking her in her side. Selena jumped, and turned around. "Hey, what the--" She stopped mid-sentence, and threw her arms out. "Demi! You came!" Demi smiled slightly, and hugged Selena. "I sure did." Her smile slowly faded away. Selena automatically got the feeling something was irking Demi. "What's wrong?" She asked. Demi shook her head. "Look, don't take this the wrong way, but Selena, I really don't wanna be here." She looked around, nervously scratching the back of her neck. "It's fine." Selena replied. Demi looked up mildly shocked. "Really?" "Yeah. Besides, I know it has something to do with Sterling." Demi nodded, and bowed her head. "Yeah. He's here isn't he?" "I'm sorry, but yes." "...Okay." Demi turned around. "I gotta go. I don't think I could stay here, I might just kill him--" "Wait." Selena put her hand on Demi's shoulder. "Look, don't leave. I'm your best friend." "I know, but I can't be in the same room as him, Sel, you know that." "Of course I do. But you don't have to be in the same room. You can chill upstairs if you want." "But then I won't be at your party." "Course you will. You'll just be upstairs. There's someone else up there too; apparently they're having the same problems you're having." Selena said, smirking. Demi rolled her eyes, and jogged upstairs, wondering who was upstairs also secluded from the rest of the party. She opened the door to reveal an empty living room. She should've known from the smirk on Selena's face that there was no one going to be upstairs. But at least it got her away from any possibility of seeing Sterling. Demi leaped up the last two stairs, sighing as her feet landed on the carpet of Selena's living room. Selena's parents had no TV in their living room--they arranged their house as the traditional way by arranging the living room as a room of elegance. Plastic wrap covered the furniture, and many classic artworks were hung on the wall. Their TV was in the basement, and was currently being hogged by the school jocks she invited. But there was a TV in Selena's room. Demi walked another set of stairs, and walked up them. She made it to the top, and rounded around a corner into her friend's room, which basically glowed green from all of her green furniture. The TV was already on--and it looked like Selena's bed had been sat on. Demi frowned, and picked up the remote. She turned towards the TV which was depicting a drag race, in which she frowned, and flipped the channel. "Hey. I was watching that." The voice came out of Selena's bathroom. A curly haired boy was standing in the door frame, staring at Demi.
