In this video, celebrity Interior Designer Thom Filicia tells Furnitureland Souths Christy Brown how he got into show business, the vision behind his new home furnishings line and what he thinks about Furnitureland South. Furnitureland South hosted Filicia on Saturday, February 13, to officially launch the new collection. The first 100 attendees received a complimentary copy of Filicia's book, Thom Filicia Style. In addition, representatives from the North Carolina Triad Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® were present to accept donations to help support the fight against breast cancer in honor of Thom's mother. Furnitureland South is proud to partner with our local affiliate to increase awareness and to help raise money for women facing breast cancer in our community. Thom Filicia is known for five seasons as the design expert on Queer Eye for the Straight Guy and as host of the current Style Network series Dress My Nest. Filicia is one of House Beautiful's Top 100 American Designers and one of the most recognized names in interior design. His new home collection captures a classic simplicity and injects an unexpected, modern flair. With a fresh yet timeless approach to design, the collection balances elements in unique and beautiful ways.
